,Some Ghanaian athletes have tested the pitch at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium as they prepare for the big games in Accra on March 8, 2024.
Athletes from fields like 100m, 200m, 400m, and high jump all tested the readiness of the stadium on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, to see how welcoming it is to host all of Africa in a few days. The Ghana Athletics’ Open Championship had a first feel of the mondo track.
The University of Ghana Sports Stadium boasts an 11,000-seat capacity space, which is arguably enough to host games like football, basketball, athletics, and rugby, as over 5,000 athletes and game officials will be represented.
The sporting discipline for the 13th edition of the African Games has been slated for 29, with host venues spanning across the city of Accra and Cape Coast.
