About Fulbright-Radboud Scholarships

The Fulbright Commission, sponsored by Radboud University, is providing scholarships to exceptional American students to pursue graduate-level studies and research at Radboud University in Nijmegen. The scholarship applies to all Master’s and Research Master’s programs offered in English at Radboud University, except Erasmus Mundus Master’s programs and joint or double degree Master’s programs.

The primary objective of the Fulbright Commission is to foster reciprocal comprehension between Dutch and American individuals through the provision of monetary support for academic pursuits, including studying, researching, and teaching. To be eligible for a scholarship, individuals must possess American citizenship, demonstrate outstanding academic achievements, actively participate in extracurricular pursuits, and secure admission at Radboud University Nijmegen.

U.S. students who are currently living in the Netherlands will not be eligible for any awards specifically designated for the Netherlands. Furthermore, U.S. students who possess both U.S. and Dutch or European Union citizenship will be excluded from consideration.

• Monthly stipend: €1,550 for a duration of 11 months
• Trips: Reimbursement of up to €1,000 for trips outside of the country.
• Visa/Residence Permit: Organized and funded by Radboud University (costing roughly €210)
• Tuition is not waived and varies depending on the program.

Associate Degree Programs:

Initial year:

• Monthly stipend: €1,550 for a duration of 12 months
• Trips: Reimbursement of up to €1,000 for trips outside of the country.
• Visa/Residence Authorization: Sheltered (estimated cost of €207)
• Tuition is not waived and the amount varies depending on the program.
• Insurance: Provided by Fulbright

Year Two:

• Contingent on meeting the required academic standards during the initial year.
• Stipend: The maximum amount of €1,550 per month will be provided for a duration of up to 11 months, if the award is granted.
• Tuition is not waived and the amount varies depending on the program.
• Insurance: Funded by the Fulbright program

Applicable Nationalities for the Radboud University Fulbright Scholarship:

• The Fulbright-Radboud Scholarship is available exclusively to individuals who hold US citizenship.

The eligibility criteria for the Radboud University Fulbright Scholarship are as follows:

• In order to be eligible for this esteemed award, you must possess American citizenship and demonstrate an outstanding academic record.
• Extracurricular engagement is highly regarded.
• Prior to applying for the scholarship, it is necessary for you to gain admission into a Master’s program at Radboud University.

Applying to Radboud University

Prospective candidates are required to fill out two distinct applications:

1. Radboud University Application:

• Submit your application directly to the Master’s program of your choice at Radboud University.
• The application period commences on October 1, 2024.
• The announcement of admission decisions is scheduled for the end of March 2025.

2. Application for the Fulbright Scholarship:

• Submit your application for the Fulbright-Radboud Scholarship by clicking on the button located above.
• The application period commences on April 2, 2024, and concludes on October 8, 2024, at 5 PM Eastern Time.
• Applicants must have received admission to a Master’s program at Radboud University to be considered successful.
