Black Stars captain, Andre Dede Ayew, has spoken about the approach he uses to deal with criticism from fans and the media.
He made this revelation while answering questions as a guest lecturer on sports psychology at the University of Ghana.

“It’s not easy to get certain remarks, certain insults but most importantly, is trying to understand the reason why it’s coming that way or that sense…all depends on where it is coming from. You have to try and analyze yourself, sometimes it’s unfair, sometimes it doesn’t make sense and sometimes they have a point.”
“Sometimes as a personality, you have to swallow things that you know it’s not true…but that’s where your mental toughness comes and you need to be able to endure pain to smile later. That’s my virtue.”
Dede Ayew is a free agent at the time of writing after completing the 2023-2024 season with French league side Le Havre.
