The Ho High Court has dismissed a petition to annul John Peter Amewu’s election as Hohoe MP due to the exclusion of 17,000 voters from the SALL enclave, who were denied voting rights in the 2020 Parliamentary Elections after their area was carved out of the Volta Region to form part of the Oti Region.
The Court ruled it lacked jurisdiction to challenge the constitutionality of the electoral instrument guiding the elections, leaving the SALL residents without parliamentary representation and raising concerns about their electoral rights.
