Ghanaian athletes and officials present gift to CREPS in Strasbourg

As part of their Pre-Games Training Camp (PGTC) preparations for the upcoming Olympic Games, a delegation of Ghanaian athletes and officials made a presentation to the Centre for Resource,  Expertise, and Sport Performance (CREPS).

This gesture by Team Ghana was to appreciate CREPS support and commitment to the athletes in enhancing their performance and fostering international collaboration in sports.

Team Ghana is in Strasbourg, utilising the world-class facilities at CREPS to fine-tune their preparations.

Captain and Flagbearer for the team, Joseph Paul Amoah, thanked the management of CREPs for their support since the team’s arrival in Strasbourg.

“We are honoured to be here to prepare for the Olympics. Our goal is to not only achieve success at the Olympic Games, collaborating with CREPS allows us to benefit from their expertise and facilities, and setting our athletes up for long-term success.”

Madam Estelle Davide, the Director of CREPS, who received the gift on behalf of the institute, said, “We are delighted to host Team Ghana during their pre-Olympics camp. CREPS is committed to supporting their journey and exploring further avenues for collaboration that will benefit athletes from both nations.”

Athletes from Team Ghana expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to train at CREPS.

This collaboration with CREPS by the Ghana Olympic Committee was made possible with the support of the Deputy Mayor of Strasbourg, Hon Owusu Tufuor.

It signifies a significant milestone in Ghana’s sports development journey, aiming to elevate the country’s presence on the global athletic stage and inspire future generations of athletes.
