Ghana’s Finance Minister Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam has announced that the government plans to reintroduce road and bridge tolls in 2025.
This announcement was made in Parliament in Accra on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, during the presentation of the mid-year fiscal policy review for 2024.
Dr. Amin Adam explained that the reintroduction of tolls is part of a broader strategy to enhance infrastructure funding and management.
The move aims to generate additional revenue to support the maintenance and development of the country’s road network.
