The National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, has pledged to address the rising food prices and other economic challenges confronting the nation.
In a post on X on Sunday, September 22, 2024, Mr. Mahama expressed his commitment to addressing the ongoing increase in food prices, which has significantly impacted households nationwide.
The former President linked the rising costs of food and essential goods to inadequate economic management by the current government, emphasizing the need for immediate and effective action.
“I am clear in my mind what has to be done to halt the daily increase in the price of food and other essential commodities because of the economic mismanagement by the government of Akufo-Addo and Bawumia. We must halt the hardship on people, and go back to the days of price stability. As stated in the Resetting Ghana Manifesto, a number of key interventions, which will reset the economy and prepare it for growth will be implemented” Mr Mahama stated in the post on X.
He assured Ghanaians that he has a well-defined plan to alleviate this burden.
Below are some points raised by the former President and Flagbearer to halt the “hardship on people.”
