Maxwell Woledzi of Ghana leads Fredrikstad to a first-league triumph over Brann

Norwegian-based Ghanaian defender Maxwell Woledzi, in his second game in the Norwegian top division, made an impression to guide his team and win all three points.

The 22-year-old contributed every minute possible to Fredrikstad FK’s victory over Brann, their first Eliteserien victory of 2024.

Over the weekend, the newly promoted team won away from home thanks to goals in either half from Stian Stray Molde.

After losing to Bodo Glimit in their first-round campaign opener, Woledzi was pleased with their performance as they won their game due to his brilliance.

Along with five interceptions and seven clearances, the centre back aided his team in maintaining a clean sheet while playing in a back three.

Out of all the players who started for Fredrikstad, Woledzi won the most tackles with four. In addition, he made the most dribble completions during the match.

After joining the team the previous season, the Ghanaian helped them win promotion to the premier league.
