Ghana’s final chance of making an appearance in an event final in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris rests on the Men’s 4×100 Metre Relay Team.

The team is scheduled to run in the semifinals of the 4×100 Metres on Thursday, August 8 at 9:35 GMT in the second of two heats for a place in the finals.

The top three finishers in each of the two heats qualify automatically to the final with the teams with the fastest times in non-automatic spots progressing to round up the field.

Ghana’s Team of Ibrahim Fuseini, Benjamin Azamati, Isaac Botsio and Joseph Paul Amoah has been placed in Lane 3 in the eight team event.

Team Ghana will compete against Liberia in Lane 2, Brazil in Lane 4, China in Lane 5, Canada in Lane 6, France in Lane 7, Jamaica in Lane 8 and Germany in Lane 9.

Ghana’s sprinters, Benjamin Azamati and Abdul-Rasheed Saminu, missed out on qualifying to the finals of the Men’s 100 Metres Final.
