Kwame Asare Obeng, better known by his stage name A-Plus, has been invited by the Ghana Police Service to appear in person for questioning on Monday, July 15, 2024.
In response to his recent assertions on social media that he has some information about the case, he is extending an offer to help the police with their continuing investigation into the death of Ahmed Suale.
This was said in a police statement that was released on Monday, July 15. The statement stated that since the tragic event, an inquiry into Ahmed Suale’s death has been ongoing.
The Ghana Police Service’s Criminal Investigations Department (CID) created the Cold Case Unit in October 2021 to handle instances similar to this one. The unit has been working on the case’s investigation and has been in close communication with the deceased’s family, according to the police.
The statement continued, “Mr. Kwame Asare Obeng (A-Plus) has indicated that he has some information that could assist the ongoing investigation, and the Police are therefore pleased with this, and he has been invited accordingly.”
Investigative journalist Ahmed Suale, 31, was employed by Tiger Eye PI, an organisation founded by Anas Aremeyaw Anas that is well-known for using undercover techniques to uncover social injustices and corruption.
His assassination in Accra in January 2019 stunned a lot of people in the media.
